Luke serves as Associate Pastor of Discipleship and Family Ministry, leading the church’s discipleship strategy, Christian education, and family ministry. He oversees Sunday School, small groups, mentoring relationships, and age-based discipleship opportunities while equipping teachers, leaders, volunteers, parents, and ministry teams. He also supports children’s and youth ministries, strengthens marriages and families through training and special events, and works with staff and leaders to foster spiritual growth, connection, and gospel-centered impact in the church and community.
Luke has served at First Baptist Americus since 2017, most recently in student ministry, where he has invested in the spiritual growth of students and their families. His years on staff have given him meaningful experience in church life, discipleship, and leadership within the local congregation.
Luke’s ministry reflects a passion for helping students and families grow in Christ and connect more deeply to the church. Together with his wife, Laura, and their two daughters, he brings a family-centered perspective to ministry and a desire to see homes strengthened through faith and discipleship.
Luke earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Georgia Southwestern State University and is expected to complete his master’s degree in discipleship in December 2026 from Southeastern Seminary.
Luke and his wife, Laura, have been married for 10 years and are the proud parents of two daughters. They are grateful for the opportunity to serve the Lord together, and their home reflects a shared desire to grow in faith, love, and service to the church. Luke’s commitment to family ministry is shaped both by his pastoral calling and by his experience as a husband and father.
