Colton Taunton, Pastor
Colton began his ministry at First Baptist Americus, while he was in college as our Youth Pastor, before going to seminary at Southern Seminary. Colton received a Master of Divinity and has served as lead pastor since 2024.

Luke Fendley, Minister of Students
Luke and his family came to First Baptist in 2017. Luke received his Bachelors of Science in Sociology from Georgia Southwestern State University. His wife Laura is a science teacher at Furlow Charter School. They have two daughters.

Connie Dozier, Administrative Assistant
Connie Gardner Dozier joined our staff in 2000 . She has served as Ministry Assistant, Financial Ministry Assistant and in 2020 assumed the position of Administrative Assistant. She and her husband, James are members at Plains Baptist Church. They have 3 children, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Ryan Gosnell, Preschool Director
Ryan has served as our Preschool Director since 2023. She has a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Development and a Master of Art in Human Resource Management and worked in early childhood education for over 10 years before coming to FBC.
